Global Expansion and Group-Level Management
Following privatization, POSCO grew into a leading global steelmaker expanding its reach across the world.
The construction of the world’s first commercial-grade FINEX plant and the conversion of Gwangyang BF No.1 into the world’s largest blast furnace qualify POSCO’s leap into the world’s top steelmaker.

Outside Korea, POSCO built an integrated mill in Indonesia and broke new ground in other parts of the world, such as China, Vietnam and Mexico.
Moreover, by managing the full business portfolio including steel at the Group level, each operating entity is able to focus on its own competencies and growth.
